In this sweltering August, when you get used to bright colored outfits in art district, and nearly faint in dazzling sunlight, Hi Art Store has LIU Gen’s Solo Exhibition named Assembly for you, which contains a set of black-and-white woodcut, quiet but attractive.


LIU Gen, graduated from Tianjin Arts College, is almost nothing but a dull guy. Only when he picks up his scalpels, his original emotions coming from his life will stand vividly revealed on the paper, exciting, joking, thinking, innocent, etc. Scalpels take the place of brushes; polished original wood cross sections take the place of linen. Only his adroit hands and smart head is still leading the whole picture.


Whether cicada or Zen, migrate or assemble, wooden horses or assault, on August 4th, at 17, Hi Art Store will lead you to the colorful world made by LIU Gen with black and white.
